Thea is from Mendon, NY, and is a rising senior in the hotel school. Thea has bartended for friends and family since middle school, the beginnings of her career in hospitality! She hopes to work in food and beverage, combining hospitality with her Environment and Sustainability and Spanish minors.

Outside of school, Thea works at The Regent Lounge in Statler Hotel as a student manager in the HLDP, but has worked as a food runner, server, and bartender since her freshman year as well. Thea can be found often with her hobbies, and loves bartend, cook, and craft at home.

Thea joined HEC as a freshman, volunteering for the design, culinary, and service teams. She continued as a bar lead in HEC 100, where she truly learned the meaning of the organization and the connection it builds. During HEC 101, Thea was a beverage experience manager, working with the beverage team to create her own cocktails and mocktail for the pre-plated dinner event. It has been so rewarding for Thea to learn along HEC, and she is so excited for the 102nd year!

The beverage department is unique and exciting, especially for those interested in mixology and service. The team is comprised of many roles, including bartenders, barbacks, and bar leads, managers, and assistant directors. Anyone on the team learns both the technical skills of drink building along with menu creation, teamwork, and guest-facing skills!
