Downtown Hotel, Matt’s associate-centric leadership style was highlighted when the hotel reached its highest-ever AES score in 2019. In addition, as the Resident Manager of the Marriott Marquis Washington, D.C. in 2015, the hotel ranked first in Guest Satisfaction Survey scores among all Marriott convention network hotels.

Matt is a graduate of Michigan State University and currently serves on the Board of Directors for Destination DC and The Hotel Association of Washington DC.  In addition he is the Guidance Chair for the Mid-Atlantic Marriott Business Councils. He resides in Washington, D.C. with his wife, children, and two rescue dogs.
