Lucas Vilas-Boas Oliveira
Lucas serves as a Practicum TA for Intro to Hotel Operations, and as a Course Lucas Vilas-Boas Oliveira is a Junior in the Hotel School from Ashburnham, MA and is minoring in Anthropology. After hosting a friendsgiving dinner, Lucas transferred into the Hotel school and learned just how amazing and diverse the hospitality industry is!
Assistant for Business Computing, his favorite class ever. He is also an active member of the Cornell Concert Commission and the Production manager for the Melodramatics. In his free time, you can find Lucas at a concert or creating playlists for sitting on the slope to dinner parties!
Lucas started his HEC career as a Volunteer and Wine Server for Plated Dinner in HEC 100. Last year, in HEC 101, he served as a Design Assistant Director, helping ensure all the details in each event were perfect! His favorite part about HEC has always been the found community it brings to everyone involved, from volunteers to guests, everybody comes together to create special and unforgettable memories. He is excited to help create lasting memories and bring HEC's programs to life for everyone to enjoy!
Lucas is ecstatic to lead the Programs Department, a team dedicated to bringing stories and education to HEC! He hopes to create a team that works in unison to efficiently develop amazing programming, all while emanating a joyful, welcoming energy. The team will learn how to bounce ideas off each other and grow professionally, all to cultivate spectacular events and speakers come HEC Weekend.
Spencer started his HEC career as a Conference Services Manager in HEC 99, crafting a memorable Closing Cocktail experience. Last year, in HEC 100, he served as a Conference Services Assistant Director, helping ensure the perfect conference setup for each event at the historic HEC 100. His favorite part about HEC has always been seeing the work of so many individuals come together to create dynamic and special memories and events. He is overjoyed to be leading the Programs department and is most looking forward to making his mark on HEC history.
Outside of HEC, Spencer is the VP of the Slope Day Programming Board, serves as a mentor for HSMP, and is a Course Assistant for Intro to Hotel Operations, his favorite class ever. You can always count on Spencer watching a soccer or basketball game or working on his swing in his free time.
