Lily Miller
Lily is a rising Junior at the Nolan School of Hotel Administration at Cornell University, originally from South Florida. Her passion for hospitality began through a love of hosting, storytelling, and creating meaningful guest experiences, which later evolved into interests in hotel development, event design, and F&B operations. Before college, Lily started her own business focused on financial literacy education and philanthropy. She aspires to build innovative hospitality concepts that blend sustainability, creativity, and community impact in South Florida and beyond.
Lily is involved in the Hotel Student Mentorship Program (HSMP), where she works with students to introduce them to the Nolan School. She is also a member of Women Leadership in Hospitality (WLiH), which empowers women through mentorship and training. She is also a course assistant for Hotelie Launchpad, Organizational Behavior, and Intro to Management. Outside of a busy day in the Hotel School, Lily enjoys creative writing and cooking, which culminated in her latest passion project: developing a cookbook!
During HEC 100, Lily served as a Design Manager, where she curated and led two high-traffic guest events and supported a third during the HECentennial celebration, helping deliver premium experiences to a record-breaking attendance of nearly 300 guests. Building on that experience, she served as Assistant Director of Design Logistics for HEC 101, coordinating timelines, installations, and training across 10 event sites. Through every role, HEC has become one of the most meaningful parts of her Cornell experience, thanks to the relationships, mentorship, and passion for hospitality that define the organization. She is excited to continue elevating the HEC experience, creating a dynamic weekend for attendees, alumni, and industry leaders alike, and providing valuable learning and bonding experiences for all HEC members, making each new conference weekend "the best ever!"
Within the Procurement Team, Lily hopes to foster a collaborative environment among procurement managers, assistant directors, and volunteers alike, emphasizing learning and relationship-building to ensure team cohesion and successful vendor partnerships. During conference weekend, attendees can expect the unexpected, as HEC is sure to create unforgettable, exciting moments that showcase the very best of hospitality.
