Executive Chef

Jessica Bellm

Jessi is a student at the Nolan School of Hotel Administration from, Riverside, Illinois. She developed a passion for hospitality when she started baking for family and friends, and she hopes to pursue a career in concept development/consulting within the industry.

Outside of HEC, Jessi is a line cook at The Statler Hotel, a Course Assistant for Managerial Accounting, and a member of the student consulting group Grub Ventures. In her free time, she enjoys reading, weightlifting, thrifting, and reality TV.

Jessi has been on the Culinary Team for three years. She started as a function manager designing her own small bites menu for HEC 100, and transitioned to a more administrative role as Culinary Logistics and Operations Coordinator for HEC 101. These experiences prepared her well to serve as the Executive Chef for HEC 102, where she's excited to support her teammates' creativity, just as previous team members supported her.

The Culinary Team boasts a fun, supportive culture that Jessi hopes to continue this year. Ahead of the conference, the team will design menus for their respective events and work together to turn their concepts into reality. For the Culinary Team, HEC weekend is fast-paced and demanding, but the camaraderie that's built as everyone shows up for each other in times of need embodies the spirit of HEC, and a year-worth of preparation all becomes worthwhile.
