This year, our Philanthropy Team has partnered with Food Bank of the Southern Tier. We are working together to build & sustain hunger-free communities throughout the Broome, Chemung, Schuyler, Steuben, Tioga and Tompkins counties.

We would greatly appreciate any contributions to our campaigns! This year, all proceeds from the Silent Auction will be donated directly to the Food Bank of the Southern Tier.

The Silent Auction will be on Friday, April 19 from 8:30AM-7:00PM and Saturday, April 20th from 8:30AM-5:00PM.

The HEC 99 Team is committed to lessening the impact of food insecurity. Food insecurity is an official term of the USDA defined as a state in which people experience a lack of access to nutritious food, and are unsure as to where their next meal is coming from. Over 44 million people, including 13 million children, in the United States experience food insecurity annually.

There are several potential factors of food insecurity such as poverty, unemployment and low wages. Furthermore, the repercussions of the jarring number of food insecure American families can be devastating: malnutrition, heart disease, diabetes, increased levels of anxiety, depression, and stress, etc.

As an organization, we recognize the severity and complexity of this issue and aim to support families experiencing food insecurity.
