Meet Lillian

Lillian Pinheiro is a senior hotelie whose passion for hospitality sparked from working in restaurant and hotel guest relations throughout high school and her early college career. From working in reservations and completing coursework in service operations and quantitative analysis, she developed an interest in learning more about internal optimization as viewed through the lens of hospitality. She gained exposure to the world of special events while interning with Gurney’s Resorts in Montauk, NY and was inspired through her involvement in HEC to explore the world of conferences more professionally.

Lillian is spending the summer before her senior year in New York City as a Conference and Events Management Analyst with The Blackstone Group.

On campus, Lillian serves as Co-President for the Cornell Chapter of the American Hotel and Lodging Association (AHLA) and is an active member of the NY Delta Chapter of Pi Beta Phi. She is a teaching assistant for a number of courses within the SC Johnson College of Business including HADM 1350 Hotel Operations and AEM 3015 Developing Racial Equity in Organizations, and has served as the Director of Mentorship for Cornell’s Chapter of the National Society for Minorities in Hospitality (NSMH). She has previously worked at the Stater Hotel as a Student Front Office Supervisor through the Hotel Leadership Development Program (HLDP). Lillian is thrilled to return to Hotel Ezra Cornell for her fourth conference. For HEC 95 she was a Bar Manager, then joined the Rooms Team for HEC 96 as a Guest Experience Manager to continue in HEC 97 as the Rooms & Guest Experience Director. Joining the Board of Directors for the first in-person conference during her time at Cornell was an incredible experience, leading her to form many meaningful relationships and gain invaluable leadership skills. She is most looking forward to sharing these resources with this year’s unique mix of student Directors, ADs, Managers, and Volunteers as they work to bring the vision of HEC 98 to life
