Managing Director

Kelly Cobb

Kelly Cobb is a senior at the Nolan School of Hotel Administration from Manhattan Beach, California. Growing up around the Los Angeles tourism industry, Kelly was exposed to many types of hospitality. In high school, Kelly started a Women in Business club in order to educate her peers about the various careers in business, including the hospitality industry. Kelly hopes to pursue a career in event management.

Kelly began her HEC journey in her freshman year as Sales Manager for HEC 98. Continuing to support the Sales Team, she participated in HEC 99 as the Sales Assistant Director. For the centennial celebration, she served as HEC 100 Sales Director. This year, Kelly is looking forward to assuming the role of HEC 101 Managing Director. Through HEC, Kelly has deepened her passion for event production and found a sense of community and connection. She is excited to help lead the organization into the next century, making HEC 101 "The Best Ever" HEC!

Outside of HEC, Kelly is involved with Women's Leadership in Hospitality, serving as the former Co-President, the Hotel Student Mentorship Program, and Nolan Ambassadors. Additionally, she works as a Course Assistant for Organizational Behavior, a class that explores the psychology of business organizations and leadership. Kelly also enjoys going on nature walks, reading self-improvement books, practicing wellness, and traveling. During her summers, Kelly continues to expand her experience in event hospitality through internships in Catering Sales at the Hollywood Bowl and, most recently, as an Event and Hospitality Intern at McDonald's Corporation.
