Managing Director

Jason Orenstein

Jason is a senior in the Nolan School of Hospitality Administration. He grew up in Clifton Park, New York, just south of Saratoga Springs. Jason first found a love for hospitality in F&B Operations, when he began working in various restaurants throughout high school. Since coming to Cornell, Jason has enjoyed exploring the intersection between hospitality and finance.

On campus, Jason serves as the Co-President of Cornell Alpha Fund Club, one of the oldest student-run investment funds on campus. Within the Hotel School, he enjoys serving as the lead Course Assistant for both Financial & Managerial Accounting, in addition to CA'ing for Principles of Food and Beverage Operations Management and Principles of Real Estate in the spring semesters. Jason enjoys playing intramural soccer with his friends on the Hot Toddys.

Jason's HEC journey began his freshman year, serving as a Conference Services manager for HEC 99. Following this, he was a Conference Services Assistant Director for HEC 100. During his journey year, he led Procurement and Donor Relations efforts as the Procurement Director. HEC has always been one of Jason's favorite communities at Cornell, and he is honored to continue on in the organization for the fourth year.

Holding the role of Managing Director for HEC 102, Jason is excited to carry the torch of many MD's before him in order to make HEC 102, The Best Ever! He is excited to continue to push the boundaries of the conference, and deliver an unforgettable experience for guests, while continuing to sustain the passion of hospitality within his peers. Jason looks forward to welcoming new students to the organization, in addition to reconnecting with past members of the organization.
