Isabelle Louis
Isabelle is a senior at the Hotel School with a focus on beverage operations. Raised in Denver, Colorado, she has always enjoyed watching Food Network shows, spending time in the kitchen, and learning about cocktails and wine through her parents. Isabelle was drawn to the hospitality industry after living in France for two years where she developed the value of having a long meal in the company of family and friends. After spending her past two summers managing restaurants, Isabelle is excited to combine her leadership experience with the knowledge she gained while helping bartenders on busy nights, and bring hospitality to everything that she does in this increasingly interconnected world.
Isabelle joined Hotel Ezra Cornell in her sophomore year as a Bartender for HEC 99 and continued in the beverage department during her junior year as a Beverage Training Manager for HEC 100. Now, as Beverage Director for HEC 101, Isabelle is thrilled to create a beverage program that highlights the students behind it, showcasing their unique perspectives, creativity, and passion for the craft. With bold ideas brewing, Isabelle is ready to make HEC 101 the most unforgettable edition yet!
Outside of HEC, Isabelle works as a course assistant for the Introductions to Wine and Restaurant Management classes. Isabelle also participates in Cornell's Blind Wine Tasting Society, Cuvée, and is an active member of the Nolan Hotel School Ambassadors. In her free time, Isabelle enjoys cooking and baking for friends, reading, swimming, and is always excited to try new restaurants and wineries!
