HEC 101 Proudly Announces: All in the Details

(Ithaca, NY) Hotel Ezra Cornell (HEC), the Cornell Nolan School of Hotel Administration's annual student run hospitality conference, announced during the annual Homecoming Alumni Brunch this year's conference theme "All in the Details." The HEC team is looking forward to bringing this theme to life on the weekend of April 16-19, 2026. The inspiration for the theme stems from this year's HEC goal to spark conversations that focus on how industry leaders can create moments that make guests feel seen and valued through key hospitality pillars: the people, the moment, the brand.

The HEC community has looked to past teachings from the century-old tradition of the conference to approach the common challenge of finding the most authentic way to cater to guest needs. Kelly Cobb, HEC 101 Managing Director shares, "As the board built the vision for this year's conference, we focused on how personalization can guide each department's work to create a more genuine guest experience."

Hotel Ezra Cornell is a three-day, student-run business conference for hospitality industry leaders and members of the Cornell community from across the globe. HEC is one of the oldest organizations at Cornell and offers an unparalleled introduction to the students, faculty, and alumni of the preeminent hospitality program in the nation. Featuring some of the most talented individuals in the business, the conference will discuss the latest developments in hospitality and include leisure events for attendees to network with other professionals and meet the students who will be future industry leaders.

Registration for the conference is currently open and the early bird pricing is offered until 11:59pm on October 31, 2025. Attendees are encouraged to book their stay with the Statler Hotel, a Four Diamond Award-winning learning hotel and a trusted partner in this tradition. Statler Hotel is dedicated to providing the best service while serving as a hub of student leadership, service, and innovation.

HEC 101 invites you to explore with us how to cultivate a bespoke experience that makes every guest feel seen and valued through this year's theme: All in the Details. In Hotel Ezra Cornell's new era, the organization aims to approach every detail behind the scenes with purpose, from line items in spreadsheets to the production of plated dinner. The team is honored to craft a detail-focused experience that reflects true hospitality and helps write the next chapter of innovation and leadership in the hospitality industry.
