Alex Wright
Alex Wright is a Junior at the Nolan School of Hotel Administration, pursuing minors in real estate and data science. Growing up in the Olympic Village of Lake Placid, NY, Alex has been immersed in the hospitality industry from a young age. He is committed to delivering unique guest experiences and is excited to use real estate as a platform for creating innovative destinations in the future.
Having previously served as a Sales Manager and Assistant Director, Alex looks forward to continuing his work in the sales department as HEC 101 Sales Director. Through HEC, Alex has learned valuable lessons in business strategy, leadership, and event planning. In this role, Alex is excited to lead a dedicated team, mentoring students as they develop skills in sales, collaboration, and service. He is eager to reconnect with returning guests and welcome first-time attendees to this upcoming conference.
Outside of HEC, Alex is a board member of the Cornell Real Estate Club, where he devotes his time to teaching new members about the fundamentals of the industry. He is a course assistant for three classes in the Hotel School and is a mentor in the Hotel Student Mentorship Program. Alex enjoys concepting new business ideas and was a finalist in the Pillsbury Institute Business Plan Competition his freshman year. In his free time, Alex enjoys playing soccer, pond hockey, skiing, and spending time with his friends.
