Theresa is a junior in the Nolan School of Hotel Administration. She has lived in Colorado, California, Nebraska, New Jersey, and Germany; however, she has spent most of her life in Honolulu, Hawai’i. Genuine hospitality, which can occur anywhere, allowed her to connect with more than a dozen places to which she credits her identity. The resiliency developed with each move and through attending 11 different schools brought her closer to the industry that facilitates human connection: hospitality and tourism. In Hawai’i, she embraced the ohana culture and farmer’s markets; California delighted her with taco trucks and swanky coffee shops; Nebraska brought corn festivals; Colorado gave her the greatest playground at the skatepark; Germany made “kaffee and kuchen” her new religion. 

Theresa began her freshman year in the HEC 97 Design Team as a Design Manager. During HEC 98, she was the Design Development Assistant Director. For HEC 99, Theresa is the Design Director, and is thrilled to continue making others feel at home through design. 

Outside of HEC, Theresa is the Vice President of Marketing and Social Media for The Grid. In Hawai’i, she interned at Mana Up, a brand accelerator focused on uplifting local entrepreneurs, providing insight on building and refining businesses. Most recently, Theresa was at Highgate’s Alohilani Resort as a Food & Beverage Intern, where she helped design establishments, improve processes, and market F&B establishments.
