Dana Birke is a junior in The School of Hotel Administration from Closter, NJ. Growing up, she found her passion for hospitality from a young age through baking and continued to pursue her love for hospitality by working at various bakeries, restaurants, and country clubs. She is now exploring the intersection of data analytics and hospitality through her education at The Hotel School.
Dana's involvement with Hotel Ezra Cornell began her freshman year as a Programs Manager for HEC 95 and continued when she served as the Programs Assistant Director for HEC 96. This year as the HEC 97 Programs Director, Dana is excited to lead a team that will bring together some of the brightest hospitality leaders.
She is active in other Hotel School organizations, serving as President of Women Leadership in Hospitality, Vice President of National Society of Minorities in Hospitality, a member of Hotel School Ambassadors, a brother of Alpha Phi Omega, and is involved in the Hotel Leadership Development Program at Statler Hotel.
Dana spent this past summer as a Supply Chain Intern for World Finer Foods, auditing a portfolio of over 60 brands and 700 products. She learned about nutrition label regulatory compliance, supply chain management, specialty food and brand marketing as well as database management.
