Beverage Director

Anna Brashear

Anna is a senior at the Hotel School pursuing a minor in Spanish with a focus on beverage operations. Raised in Brownsville, Texas, she has always enjoyed spending time in the kitchen and mixing cocktails for family and friends. Anna was drawn to the hospitality industry after working as a bartender during her gap year and being able to be a part of people's best and most memorable moments. After spending another summer bartending and one as a Catering Intern at Cedar Point Amusement Park in Ohio, Anna is excited to combine her practical experience with the knowledge she gained while studying abroad and bring hospitality to everything that she does in this increasingly interconnected world.

HEC has been a major part of Anna's Hotel School experience since arriving at Cornell. Anna served as a Beverage Server for HEC 97,  a Training Manager for HEC 98, and was the Fall Training Coordinator for HEC 99. Now as Beverage Director for HEC 100, Anna is excited to create a beverage program that encompasses the last 100 years of innovation and excitement in the industry while looking forward to the next 100 years in order to make HEC 100 the best ever!

Outside of HEC, Anna works as a freshman Residential Advisor on North Campus, serving as the Community Council liaison. Anna also works at the Regent Lounge at the Statler Hotel and was a teaching assistant for the Foodservice Operations course. Anna is also a member of the Cornell Global Tea Club and "Between the Pages" book club. In her free time, Anna enjoys cooking and baking for friends, reading, and is always excited to try new restaurants and wineries!
